Activation
xPlace is shareware. Anyone can download it and evaluate it for 21 days free of charge. To continue using the tool after the trial period, you need to buy a license from Kilgray.
What does activation mean? When you purchase the tool, you receive an individual license name and a matching license key. This combination will enable you to continue using the fully featured, time-unlimited version of xPlace. The license name is the name of the user, the license key is a code comprising of 4 times five characters, both letters and numbers.
¬ Entering the license name and the license key information
Activating when you start the program for the next time. If the 21 day trial has expired, you will see the following dialog box in Microsoft Word when you click on the xPlace button:
Enter or copy the license name and the activation key into the appropriate fields. Click OK to finish activation. A pop-up window will let you know that the activation was successful. You will never have to worry about activation again.
Activating from the program. You don't have to wait until the evaluation period expires. In the xPlace dialog click Settings and choose Activate from the list of categories appearing on the left side of the dialog box. You will see the following:
Enter or copy the license name and the activation key into the appropriate fields. Click Activate and you're done.
